Well, just to let you know, the Antec 900 is a dust bucket. It has awesome airflow but you have to clean out your system every 3 months or so of dust.
What is your budget?

Well the Antec 900 at around 110 is about the max I'd be willing to spend. Definately do not want to go over 120.

I just bought an Antec 900 to replace my Coolermaster Centurion case. It was a good case but no comparison in cooling with the 900. I don't mind cleaning out the case every once in a while, the Centurion got dusty after a while as well.
www.ncixus.com has the 900 on sale for $100 which is not a bad price, it comes with 3 Antec Tricool 120mm fans and a whopping 200mm Antec Tricool on the top

Because I'm in Canada and the P180 will run about 140

So...say if I have to spend 50 on a Centurion or 100 on a 900, which should I go for. Would I really need the 900?

Just checked NCIX (Canadian site) latest sale, the Antec 900 is on sale for $89.99 CDN. with a mir.
As I mentioned, I have both cases. Is the 900 worth 50 more? I think it is, just the extra included speed-adjustable fans alone are worth more than that.
Aside from the superior airflow, it has a window with an additional fan mount. The fans and hard drive cages can be moved to any position in the front of the case, and either hd cage is removable depending on how many hard drives you need.

NCIX didn't pay me for a $40 rebate on OCZ RAM. I've done everything I can to avoid them since. And I've succeeded in geting the hardware I wanted from other sites. (They have a lot of good stuff so avoiding them is hard.)

I think the Centurion 5 with the window is the better one since it has the correct airflow (no holes on the side).

It's kind of frustrating though because the cost is higher and they seem harder to find. I know I ordered mine from cancomputer.com and I didn't like the $30 for shipping.

The weirdest thing is I was making comparisons between two different hypothetical builds just to see how much of a difference it would make if you got a more expensive power supply instead of a cheaper one, and a better case, a more powerful CPU, GPU etc. And the difference can be insane when you add up the total. I mean, something slightly better on every part will end up being way more expensive.

The one thing I wouldn't ignore though is the quality of the PSU. I know I didn't do enough research before buying my PSUs (and could probably do a lot more research). But, I still got a Seasonic S-12 for one machine and a Fortron Blue Storm II for my backup.

I just purchased an Antec 900. It was on sale $110 - $20 rebate. Anyhow, my temps are great though that might be more due to the Freezer 7 Pro. The case is fine, my only complaint is that the instructions are completely worthless -- all I want is a description of the included small parts (of which there are quite a few), some list perhaps, but all they include is some obvious stuff about how to install a motherboard. In 12 languages. Oh well.

I obtained the Corsair HX520 PSU separately.

i would more look at OCZ for that. Ive been jiped on rebate by them as well, so i dont do any business with OCZ products anymore. Plus crucial i believe makes better ram, and PSU's seasonic, or the old PCnC <-- b4 they were bought out by OCZ is my forte.

NCIX is a great store tho, ive shoped at them a few times, and there prices are very competitive even in the US.

Regarding the OCZ rebates, that has absolutely nothing to do with NCIX. The rebate is from OCZ. You could try contacting one of the OCZ reps. on the various forums they frequent and they may be able to "make it right".

As for the Centurion with the window, it usually has to be purchased with the included power supply, which makes it quite a bit more expensive than the Antec 900. I prefer to buy or use my own p/s anyway, I currently have an OCZ

He's in Canada. Please read.

And I would say to go for the 900, just because I have a feeling you might regret getting a cheaper one. And hey, the 900 is definitely worth the price by itself anyways.

I think the proper ethnic slur is "gypped" - a shortened version of gypsy. If you are confused about the usage and spelling, you might consider replacing that ethnic slur with a different one, like "jewed". However, my personal recommendation is that you not use any ethnic slurs when commenting about the shortcomings of mail-in-rebates - or any other type of rebate for that matter.

In any case, or in this case, in the case of the Antec 900 case; while I haven't used the Centurion, I just received my 900 and I am fairly happy with it. It will need a few mods, but the adjustable fans are a good start, the build quality is nice and sturdy but not too heavy, and the ventilation it offers far exceeded my expectations.

I just got my new build in, but I will try to remember to come post some temps in case that helps you.

Did you mod it? My parts come in tomorrow so I will start building in the afternoon. I heard some people don't like the 900 (I do). I think mainly they are the type of peolple that keep taking things in and out. The 900 is not good for that. Set it and forget.

The 900 is an over the top crazy case but my needs are being very well met with my new Thermaltake Bach VX. 140mm intake with a clear passage to the 120mm exhaust with the option of a side mounted fan as well.

I went with the Centurion T05 and but for 1 thing I am very happy. Of course, I have no comparison.

However, the one thing that frustrates me is that the Cooler Master Centurion 5 T05 is sold speced to 5 3.25 drives, however, it ONLY comes with 3 monting slides. I found this out when I went to put in a 4th HDD. So technically, it is not capable of some RAID configurations as it only accepts 3 HDDs out of the box.

I have emailed them and 'if' I get a response I will post.

Peace and Blessings
