Is it worth to upgrade my amd 1800XP?

Hi Gang, I've been using the 1800xp since I won it 3 years ago in in the amd givaway. I've been thinking of buying the barton 2500xp or mobile xp.

Is it worth to upgrade or save up for the athlon64?

Your going to have to give us a little more information bud. It depends on what you do. If you play the latest/greatest games i would upgrade. What you upgrade to is depending on your budget. Id go with maybe a amd 64 2800+ if i were you. If you want to overclock an athlon xp your probably goign to have to buy new MB, New Processor, and new ram..if you have to do all that why not get an amd 64. If your just wanting something a little more peppy without overclocking go with one of the athlon xp barton cores. Maybe a 2800+.

honestly, unless you play a lot of games and have a million things going on at once, i wouldn't upgrade just for the sake of it. it's not worth it. i still use my gf's computer which i built for her, it's a 1600+ AGOIA, heck, i just ripped 15 movies on that computer. unless you're hardcore and you're going to play UT2004 and FarCry or some of the other intense games, i woulnd' t upgrade. for everyday use, the 1800+ should be more than sufficient. give it some more ram.
