Is it wrong to find a distant cousin attractive?

Because i heard the term "kissing cousins" for the first time today and wasn't sure what it meant until someone explained it to me. (Growing up in japan you don't hear of such things. )

In the old days it was considered acceptable to marry cousins if they were removed enough, and sometimes even direct cousins.

I don't think it is wrong to recognize that a relative is attractive, but if you are having sexual thoughts about them, then your morals would definately come into question.

I think about it like this. If your cousin was say Jessica Alba, would it be wrong to recognize she is attractive? My cousins are attractive women but no way in hell would I even think about...........ugh I don't even want to think about it.

Hey Buddhist, growing up in Japan, you should know that you are allowed to marry FIRST cousins there. I've actually met some folks in their 40's that were married to first cousins. And no, their children didn't have 3 eyes.
