Is Korean Cuisine Good?

This little Korean restaurant opened up here recently and it seems like its always busy, and there are always specials and stuff. Part of it must be that i live in a college town and there are shloads of asians here. After watching so much anthony bourdain and other travel channel food shows, ive realized that the crappiest looking places are often the best. i want to give it a try but dont know what koreans eat.

So wtf do korean people eat? is it good?

You can never go wrong with Korean BBQ like Bulgogi

Bimbimbap, especially the seafood kind served hot is really good though

I love Korean food. When I was there for 3 weeks there wasn't a food I didn't like, with the possible exception of bundaegi(sp? some street food that was like little bugs).

Korean food is about big flavors, lots of spices. As I happen to enjoy that style of cooking I like Korean a lot. If you're more of a steak and mashed potatoes kind of person you'll probably find it to be overpowering.

I'm usually paying, and the noobs that want it well done can't tell the diff between prime and dog meat, so why go to the expensive restaurant?

We're talking about places that have the barbeque grill in the middle of the table? When I go, I always tell the waitress that I'll cook it.
