HotChic, very nice!

Life is a gift. I didn't look at it that way when I was younger and wasted a lot of time worrying about that things I couldn't change. In hindsight, it was never really That Bad, I just perceived it that way.

The glass is half full!

Life is mostly very, very good, and I'm really grateful to have my health, my family, my friends, my freedom, and my church. I don't have a lot of money, but without the things I just mentioned, money wouldn't mean much anyway.

You're a good sport. As long as there's something, anything, to enjoy, life is good. Even if it's a split second of warm sun on your skin, it's good.

Overall, yes, I thrill with the feel of the sun on my shoulders and the grass under my feet, the smell of honeysuckle on the vine, and the cold hush of a snow fall....

but today has not been a good one. :|

In a few years no one will even remember your name. Even if you are very famous the next gemeration will only wonder who that old guy was. All your life you work hard to make other people rich and in the end you die unremembered. That's if you're lucky. If life is really cruel you get everything handed to you. That's an even more pointless life than the poor man who earns a living and thinks he's happy. Happiness is just one illusion in this world of mirrors and shadows. Sometimes it seems like free will is the greatest illusion of them all. And that's why I despise being alive. I'm not bitter about it. I know that it's just the luck of the draw, and that I don't really have it any worse than anyone else. The universe just worked out so that I was cursed with existance, rather than someone else. That's okay.

lirion: This is why humanity invented the concept of religion; so that you are comforted by the fiction that there really is a point to it all. So whip out that Bible (or religious tome of choice) and start praying to give thanks to God (or diety(s) of choice) for your existance and for a happy afterlife.

For me, life is good.. I have my feet on the ground with a well-paying job and career, I have a doggie that loves me, and a g/f with whom I don't know if we're going to be together for too much longer (but that's ok..)

Life is good....own a house, have a pretty fast comp, no car payments, I'm getting paid not to work today, and I live in California

Of course, there's always room for improvement....a cool g/f would be great...

Life is good...very good...why? Because it's not bad, not in any way. My junior year in HS (ha ha) is over, toughest year they say...my computer building business is finally getting going...built one for a teacher and now I'm getting referrals...just went to the Jersey shore...partied a little, ate everything in sight...just played basketball for 2 hours with some guys 5 years older than me...no girlfriend now...but patience is a virtue they say...what's not to like?

I do symphatize with lirion...I thought about life exactly the same way once...it's like the green goblin said that brought it back to me...(paraphrased) "the world is full of two kinds of people...great people...and the rest to put those great people on pedestals"...I used to wonder what life was for, because no matter what you do, even if you become a great person, there will always be someone out there who hates you and doesn't appreciate what you've done, even if you've worked your entire life to benefit everyone. Life is what you make of it, some people make their lives hell, some people make their lives unappreciated...but in the end, when you die, it won't really matter what the idiots in the world think, anyone with intelligence will appreciate what you've done, and those are the people you're trying to impress in the first place.

I really, really, REALLY don't want to make this another religious thread. I'm not sure if I believe in a supreme being of some sort or not. I believe in the possibility though. But if there is, in a manner of thinking then existance is even more arbitrary and pointless. I had more typed out, but there are so many happy people here who don't need to hear it.

Yep, life is good. It is a beautiful day. I picked up my best friend from the airport and we had lunch together. Now I'm in a nice, air conditioned office just cold chillin. I get to live in a country where I have the freedom to do whatever I want within reason. But, the best of all... He is risen. That makes every day worth it.

Edit- for those in the depths of sadness and depression, there is always Zombo.com

life is troublesome. to say the least. i'm stuck in a messed up situation at the moment. lots of things to think about and consider to try to move on with my life and create a sound environment for living. in the past i've felt a lot more hopeless though. and i do give myself credit for making a lot of personal progress in the past year and a half. there were times where i didn't think i was gonna make it through. but i worked at it and managed to keep myself going. right now, life seems to be getting better for me. but there are still lots of things that i must do in order to make my life a good one.

See that's what I like about you HotChic, you saved me the trouble of creating this post. If you hadn't done it today, I would have.

Life is so unbelievably good. I took Friday off and spend the weekend with my GF in San Antonio, saw the sites, had fun at the clubs, and just had fun getting to spend time with her outside our daily lives. Today we spent the whole day lounging by the pool drinking coronas with a few close friends. Right now she's working on a wonderful dinner. Everything has seemed to go my way lately. Works has been great, got promoted; things with the GF are awesome, this; money is great, never really been a problem there and less so now; friends and family are great, health is perfect. In short, life is perfect... so much so that it worries me, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop . This weekend is just what I needed though, its always a good idea to take a break every now and then and just enjoy yourself and spend time with those you care about. Gotta go, just though I'd drop by and add my input.

Life is neither good nor bad, IMO. It's not heaven and not hell. It's real. Yeah, life is real.

Hello what's this?

Oh life is wonderful? Sure, sure, I saw a starfish today; it was one of the most exotic shades of purple the sea has ever produced.

*scampers off*

Cheers !

As bad as you think your life is, it can get much worse. I know this from experience. You can't imagine how bad a human being can feel, how much psychological or physican pain he or she is able to tolerate; how hopeless one can feel, how miserable one can be. It can be downright torture. Knowing how bad it can be would scare you deeply. But the person keeps on living. Is this an instinct to stay alive or is it a stubborn stupid feeling that probably stems from the ego and the belief that human life is valuable? Whatever it is, just be glad you aren't there.

In the worst of times, it still beats the alternative.

And, right now things are grand.
