Is my 2500 running to hot?

My 2500 barton is not overclocked right now. It is using 1.675 voltage. I put artic silver III on it and a Vantec Aeroflow heatsink. It is running around 38-42C. My 2100 that I had overclocked only reached like 32C. Is this a normal temp for the proc? Thanks

If it gets up to the high 50's and 60's, then you might want better cooling, but it would still be fine.
The temperature is rated really high on these chips, and the Bartons tend to run hotter cause of the extra cache making the die much larger.
Ie. more surface area, more heat.

my 2000 was running at 70C until i cleaned the heatsink out (damn dust) and it was running very reliable...when i first start my computer the first readout i get is 35C. you are fine

Not too bad so I wouldnt worry. If you want cooler though I'd go with a Thermalright SLK 800 / 900 which will lower those temps.
