I have an ASUS laptop model number X83VB-X2. The laptop came with and is currently running Windows Vista 64-bit. Within the last month I started experiencing some issues with it and I am trying to discern whether it hardware related or if there may be an easier fix. At first it started as a fine flashing line at the base of my display. It would appear only when viewing the windows desktop. I looked at it more closely and realized it was actually mirroring the very top of my desktop (the tops of my icons and what not). After some investigation on google I found some posts in another forum of people experiencing the same problem on a variety of different laptops, but no one there seemed to have a fix that would work.
From there it progressively got worse. I ran a bunch of anti spyware software and switched out my graphics drivers, this had no effect. A few days ago the laptop stopped booting up windows period. Right away it prompts me to select my startup mode (safe mode, start normally, etc.). I have tried starting in safe mode, normally, and last know working config and I experience the same problem each time. After the selection screen the computer goes to the windows loading screen only I can view the loading bar and microsoft copyright only. The windows logo is not visible. After it completes the loading process it either bluescreens, posts a few error codes, dumps physical memory and reboots or it just skips the bluescreen process enitrely and reboots.
I tried to check google for a few of the errors and I am not really finding anything useful. Here are some of the error codes posted:

I have a recovery disk that came with the laptop, I do not have a copy of Windows Vista myself. If I were to format I was just going to put Windows XP on it for the time being, but I wanted to exhaust other options first since there is data on the hardrive I would like to recover. If there is anyone out there who may be able to give me a little insight it would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou!
