is my CPU PLL voltage too high? (2500k)

I checked my BIOS yesterday randomly, my 2500k is overclocked to 4.0ghz using the ASRock OC tuner on the Pro-4 Z77 motherboard. The CPU PLL voltage was like 1.81 or 1.83, seems kind of high to me. These are all on 'auto'. Would it be worthwhile to switch CPU PLL to 'manual' and lower it a bit?

Thanks,

ps. Temps are great... i just thought the voltage seemed high.

Not to fully answer your question , I think usable range is like 1.6-1.9 depending on clock speed your trying .
FWIW my P8Z77 pro defaults to 1.8v to but i have 3570k , I don't think ivy and above need high CPU Pll unless your going towards 5.0 .
You can lower it probably fine to like 1.7v if your OC as it is not high .
I tried lowering it but it didn't change temps so left it at default , 1.8v

It's fine where it is.

So as long as you're stable it isn't really worth changing.

I know a lot of people have had better luck actually lowering PLL voltage for higher overclocks (1.525-1.6v range). But sitting at 4GHz just leave it on auto.

When I was at 4.8 on my 2500k I couldn't lower it more han a couple of ticks without getting weird crashes and hangs. Still unsure if you are supposed to go higher or lower as you ramp up the clockspeed but leaving it at stock seems the best bet unless you have a problem you think is being caused by it.
