Is my Dell account stolen?

I was in the last PowerEdge 400Sc 3.2ghz deal, I kept the cpu and sold the bare system (everything else) on eBay, I've had good communication with the buyer. To my surprise, today I found this guy placed an order on Dell, under my account (the order is billed to me and shipped to him). I called him, and he explained that the system is not up and he just ordered a replacement!

I do not assume that any of you had this weird experience, but can any of you help me to figure out what happened with this order? Is my Dell account hacked? Or how can Dell bill me without my consent?

Worst of all this order is shipped almost immediately, this is absolutely driving me crazy!

I won't be able to contact any Dell rep until Monday their biz hours!

Thank you guys for your input!

That is just wrong. Call Dell and have them straighten it out.

I guess so, because I have not even removed the shipping label from Dell, which has order number on it!

that the order wasn't made by you.
file charges with the police ?
dell shouldn't have let him order anything with the service tag number.
You transferred the ownership over right ?

? call them up first thing tomorrow(they don't have 24/7 do they?) and tell them to:

1)cancel order
2)cancel account
3)watch any other accounts
4)tell guy to fvck off

edit you can do #4 yourself

Same thing happened to me, only someone ordered a floppy drive, never heard of the guy or anything, but I wasn't billed, so I think it's just a glitch in the matrix.

don't forget they've outsourced a majority of their tech support to overseas

kept the cpu and sold the bare system... and he explained that the system is not up and he just ordered a replacement!

of course it won't work if there's no CPU in it...

The payment method on that order status page says: NET 15 REPLACEM, so I am guessing that Dell is going to send me a bill?

AGAIN DID YOU DO THE Transfer of ownership?

No I have not. I think by pulling out the cpu the warranty is void already.

I dont think the warranty matters.
There is a transfer of ownership form online that you can fill out on dell and transfers the titles over to the person you sold it to.
Dell lets you replace the parts on your own. So i doubt they would void the warranty for you removing the CPU.

Call him up adn tell him he better be the one paying for it, or you'll file a complaint to the police.
He had no authorization to order an item on your account.
He knew that from common sense.

I would, for him using an account that's not his knowing it.
then charging over 1 g's to an account causing frustration.
