HI I have had the fortune of never really having a hard drive die on my before so I'm not familiar with what the click of death sounds like. About a week or 2 ago my hard drive suddenly started making a very loud vibrating noise. The funny thing was it started making the noise the second I pulled the front panel off my lian li case to clean the vent holes. I immediately shutdown and reboot and the sound went away. SO I assumed I must of just disturbed something that caused the vibration.
Now, about a week or two later I have booted up the computer and the loud vibrating noise is back and I THINK I maybe able to hear a very faint clicking noise when I listen to the now noisy drive. Does this sound like the symptoms of a dieing HD? And if so typically how does it have to live?
Thanks.
