I left my opened mayo in a kitchen cabinet for about 24 hours. I opened the cap and it smelled good, I put it in the fridge.
Would you use it?

Quit being a pansy. Food is bad when it looks/smells/tastes bad.

eh? I thought mayo is perfectly fine in room temperature? In supermarket, i never see Mayo sitting in a refrigerator.
I wouldn't trust someone who puts mayo on fries.I wouldn't use it, but that is because there is only one food I put mayo on and I no longer partake in french fries.
But, I'm sure it's fine. It takes longer than 24 hours for food to spoil probably.
Presumably the stuff in the supermarket has not yet been opened. :hmm:
KT
yes yes, i know i derped.
but mayo is not as fragile like milk right?

As for the OP, commercial mayo sitting out of the fridge overnight in a kitchen that is cooler than 90º is fine.
Ketchup is garbage; and nobody who partakes in some kind of sugary, tomato goop is to be trusted. Mayo is only acceptable on fries.
