Is my mobo dead?

I've had my computer for about 2 years and now I am having boot problems. Here are my specs:

MSI K7T Pro Kt133 mobo
AMD 1.2 Ghz. TBird
Thermal Take 420 W Ps.
512 Mb. PC 133 RAM
Geforce 2 MX Video card.
80 gig hardrive
windows XP pro

Every time I boot up, it shuts off at random points, but always before windows starts to load. Sometimes before the RAM is scanned and sometimes after all the IDE detection. Even when I get into Bios, it will shut off seconds later. I don't think it is overheating because the cpu is at about 22 degrees centigrate before it shuts down. It is a brand new power supply, so it is not that. All cables have been checked and are secure. Is the only likely problem the motherboard? Thanks in advance.

Could the power supply be spiking or dropping in power?

that's what I thought originally, so I bought a new one, and the problem stayed. I've tried switching the RAM as well.

Could be the motherboard, or the CPU as well here -- or the CPU fan.

Perhaps it is time to move to something newer.

What sort of power supply did you go to?
