Ok, this is my first go at overclocking. I've recently moved to France and taken the opportunity to buy myself a whole new system, based around the very overclocking freindly AVIA 1.2G C type T-bird on an Iwill KK226-R. I'm willing to push to 1.5G and beyond, if she'll do it. However, once I start upping the FSB, I was wondering which of the following I should have to worry about first (presuming the CPU can do it):
256 Micron (PC-133) CAS2 RAM
32MB DDR Radeon LE AGP (not yet overclocked)
Plextor 16/10/40A CD-RW
20G Fujitsu MPG3102AH HDD
Using the KK266-R on board sound
Generic Firewire PCI card
3-Com 3C905CX-TXM 10/100 ethernet card
Any ideas? What sort of FSB speeds should I be aiming for, and how are these devices going to deal with them? For example, I have heard that burners typically don't like to be overclocked. Is my brand new Plextor going to turn into a coaster generator, or cause system instabity? What should I expect?
