Hi lately ive been tryin to oc my radeon 9800 pro with ati tool. i reached 408/363...is tat okay or low? also i hear people talking about flashing their cards to a different speed. what is flashing? - thanx
flashing = flashing the gpu's bios meaning you change the way it thinks, acts, and performs. As for your cards OC'ed speeds, it seems reasonable. Just make sure your card does not overheat and be sure your PSU is diligent enough to handle the OC. Also, make sure your case has great ventilation.
i have a radeon 9800 pro at the moment. hte ram it uses is rated up to 375 which equates to 750mhz. the core however is generally random. 408 is good. mine maxed out at 420 but i had to back down after winter. haha try bringing up the memory a bit more if you can. im running stock cooler, but i have ramsinks on the ram. (doesnt get me a higher oc, just keeps em a bit cooler)
