What's the point of clueing in the clueless?

Exactly--there's no point. Everybody lives in their own world, and I'm glad.

Napoleon Dynamite: This is pretty much the worst video ever made.
Kip: Napoleon, like anyone can even know that.
Uncle Rico: You know what, Napoleon? You can leave.
Napoleon Dynamite: You guys are retarded!

Probably didn't like Zoolander either

you are very wrong all of you...

The worst movie of ALL TIME was indeed "Plan Nine From Outer Space"

Trust me... That movie gave me a head ache... litterally... and Ed Wood is a bad director

Overall I think I'd have to say Zoolander was a more solid movie, but then again it had a hot chick whereas Napoleon didn't. And it wasn't made by Mormons.

NP was very subtle. Zoolander less subtle than NP, and a lot more interesting, but still many people haven't figured that out, and never will.
No loss. Airplanes fly overhead and so do lots of other things.

I rented it just to know why the hell everyone was quoting it so much. It was OK. I wouldn't buy it but it was worth rent.

The WORST movie I have seen is one that (unfortionally) I am making a trailer for. It's called "The Suffer King". Think of the worst live-action disney movie you have ever watched. Now imagine a monkey stabbing you in the head while watching that movie and you have a good idea what the SufferKing is like. It's so bad not even MST3K would touch it!

The production house that I intern at made it a contest for all the interns. The intern's trailer they like the most will "win". Pretty much they are hoping that not everyone goes crazy or kill themselves and that one intern will survive long enough to make a trailer. Who ever wins gets the $50 paycheck.

God I hate this job...

Hahaha.. it tried so hard to be a Wes Anderson movie but fell flat on it's face. It wasn't a bad movie, it wasn't a good movie, it was a pathetic attempt to be something it wasn't that was overhyped to all fvcking hell.

I really feel sorry for people who think it's some masterpiece, it's a half-baked copycat.

Have you seen Seed of Chucky?

movie wa shorrible, but they had a few one liners that you use and become part of yoru daily life fro a while...."idiot!"

It kind of reminded me of Zoolander ("It's in the computer..."), but that movie was atleast watchable.

I liked Lost In Translation enough to think of it as the second best movie out of those I saw last year, after Return of the King. The dynamic between Napolean's character and the young woman was one of the most interesting Man/Woman relationships I've seen on the big screen in a long while - it came across as the sort of thing that might actually happen to real people in the real world.

If the movie doesn't do anything for you, it doesn't do anything for you. No explosions, no hot sex scenes, no feel good "eat your wheaties" ending. Perhaps if you didn't get anything out of it you should just stick with the Charlies Angels series. If going to a chick flick you don't enjoy gets you perks from your girlfriend, then that's the point - otherwise, if you don't like this sort of movie, there is no point. Save your money.

its a thinker movie like the big kahuna and american beauty. im a big fan of the movie because well it was one of those movies that leave you with a good feeling. i give it best movie of the year.

Your lack of imagination and creativity are sorely obvious. There isnt anything bigger than the interaction between two people who desperatly want/need each other but everthing in life tells them NOT to say anything.... so they didnt, they stayed in a state where what they wanted to say was on the tip of thier tounge........the pain at the "nothing" you describe is the translation...... You cant express or didnt express what each was feeling and not have it Napolean Dynamite.

Why don't you stick to big budget movies with lots of action and mezmerizing special effects where thinking is strictly prohibited otherwise you would realize what a POS the movie was........ Something for the numbskulls and dimwits that dont want to or dont have the brianpower to get any deeper than Good Guy and Bad Guy plots.

It was an MTV flick; there was no brain power in this movie, just pointless crap, kind of like Daria without the humer and the lesbian interest.

Anybody who has ever connected with somone in a way that changes their lives will like the movie too.

Also, for those who said nothing happened... EVERYTHING HAPPENED. Both characters evolve so much throughout the movie as they examine themselves, where they are in life, where they are going, and both realize how unhappy they are in their current situations. There is something magical, IMO, about the connection they have. There is also a certain degree of beauty in the fact they connect with each other on such a deep level, but leave it only as a connection - they don't run off and have an affair or anything like that.

The movie was all about human emotions and questioning your situation, particularly one that you are unhappy with. If you've ever been very depressed I think this movie rings especially true....

ND really reminds me of European movies. Hollywood usually goes for sensationalism, guns, explosions, car chases, and casual Sex. European movies usually(at least the ones I've seen) usually deal with the consequences of things, especially on the personal level. Sure, Napolean Dynamite could have slept with that chick, but reality set in and he made the noble choice.

Great movie, just be prepared to put your thinking cap on. If you cannot appreciate a film solely because it is slow, than you are a stupid human being

I am not surprised that people on this forum do not like or understand this movie. It does not have kung fu grip, lasers, pie in the face humor, warp speed, or adolescent rebellion. It is just about two people meeting in the Gem state and their experiences.
