Is Newegg slow?

Over the years I have bought a lot of things over the net, always for the most part fast. It seems that a lot of people on this message use Newegg.
So I thought I would try them. I placed my order on the 30th at 9:30am with second day fedex. I also checked a box for 3 bucks that they said would hurry up the order. I was planning to get the order tomorrow......I don't even think it will make it to fedex by tomorrow.........

Sucks, I've heard of Newegg becoming more and more shady recently. I usually use Yesmicro.com

Thats funny I just did the same thing and have been waiting 3 days now for it to ship... In the past they have always been really good about the rush order thing but this week is seems different...

I ordered on Monday and one of my items just shipped today... I called and got the rush order charge refunded...

yes they are slow. but the prices are usually good.

but i bought a new motherboard i have to RMA in. bah! the darn onboard lan dont work.

and make sure the mobo drivers were current and installed

anyway, between me and my brothers weve ordered from them well over a dozen times in the last couple of months
always fast, im on the east coast and i get everything within 3-4 business days of ordering

doesnt help that fedex rocks either

Depends on what time of day you order. I order my parts at 8 am so they can rush it out on the same day for the extra 2.99.

heh its not even in the bios. it has ac 97 modem listed and no onboard lan.

i even tried updateing the bios.

i know newegg will rma it. but man they said 2 week turn around. i need my computer!

well its been fast from newegg via fedex,
the only sickening experience I had with them is that they deliver to the wrong address.
thank god, that was someone I know. sigh

i might not have receive my mobo afterall

Thats wierd...everything i bought from newegg has taken exactly 3 days...about 10 purchases so far...always 3 working days from the time i purchase to the time i recieve....its nice living in a state right next door

They now have a warehouse in Eddison NJ. About 20 miles away from where I live. I get a lot of "Package Not dew for deliveries" on the tracking receit, heh.

Newegg is far from shady. They set the standard for online resellers as far as I'm concerned. They have earned their reputation regardless of what you've heard.

I've always had good luck with newegg. I live on the east-coast and usually if I place an order on monday I have it by friday (one time on thursday) and this was before they had a warehouse in NJ.

Hopefully yours is just an isolated insident.

yup. thats what they will do even if the package arrived early and located in the fedex ramp.
they won't send it till its due to be delivered.

Hmmm... I ordered my most recent parts on Monday, and got them in WI yesterday (Wed). Used standard shipping and didn't order rush processing.
