I still use Newegg for stuff when I purchase online. However, if you live near a MicroCenter, you can often get even better prices, sometimes even including the sales tax difference (especially vs shipping). Other times, they are very close or equal in price. For instance, their price on the i5 2500K is $179, a full $45 less than Newegg. I got my M4 128GB for $149, which is $175 on Newegg.
Since I work 10 minutes from one, I didn't buy a single component for my new build online...and I paid a total of $145 less than I would have from Newegg, including tax.
