Bejesus, if not now, when? Never has there been two humongous hurricanes in one year much less in two weeks. And we've not even reached peak hurricane season, which is late August through September.
It is mind boggling to me that the only place I've encountered discussion of the involvement of climate change in these current and developing catastrophes is here in ATP&N, not on TV news shows, not a peep. Actually, not true, I read an article by John Diaz in the S.F. Chronicle Insight section ("Harvey offers grim glimpse into climate’s future") over the weekend where he talks about it, how the science has been developing, computer modeling and how the probabilities are changing although no one event can be said to have been caused by whatever.
