Because, you know...he did so much in his first 11 days in office to warrant the nomination and has done so much since then to deserve the award.

While the Fox News crowd may not think so, it seems much of the world, having not accepted RNC propaganda as gospel, disagrees. That he replaced a shoot-first schoolyard bully with someone who actually embraces diplomacy and mutual respect is a tremendous step forward in keeping the world a peaceful place. Is that setting the bar low? Perhaps so, though I think it suggests just how reviled the Cheney/Bush administration was around the world and how destructive they were to America's best interests.

More to the point for this thread, whether you personally agree or not, this Nobel Peace Prize award conclusively shows that, once again, PJ is Propaganda Secretary for the R.N.C. Failboat. He has become the joke, not Obama.

I was merely pointing out the fickle nature of human beings. We're so quick to perceive things as we want them to be as opposed to what they actually are and then we get all upset when they don't behave as we had imagined they would. And then somehow we manage to get upset at the the object or person we have misjudged as if it had somehow mislead us rather than realizing that our own judgment is actually what's at fault. It'd be like imagining a cat is actually a dog and then getting upset at the cat when we command it to speak and it mew's instead of barks. You can dress up that cat however you want and imagine it to be any other kind of animal you want to be but at the end of the day it is a cat and it is going to mew, never bark. My original comment had nothing to do with the man Obama himself but rather the people who made him out to be the savior of the world and are now getting upset at him for not displaying the imagined super-powers that they seem to have conjured up in their minds that he possessed. It's kinda like when you let your bias and personal feelings prevent you from objectively understanding the true meaning of somebody's post and read things into it that were clearly not there. Because Medicare is like the leaning tower of Pisa. You don't push it over more. The building is fundamentally flawed, just like SS and Medicare. You can either save it or rebuild it. You don't just push it over and expect it to serve its same purpose. Just like Medicare and SS. It's so flawed we need to restart it with a new plan. However, you can't just cut $500 billion and expect everyone to get the same benefits afterward.
