Is OCZ PowerStream 520W enough?

Hi everyone.
I?m am setting up my new computer and am afraid that my Power Supply can not handle all the parts.
I have OCZ Power Stream 520w

My planned setup is:
DFI Expert
Opteron 175
2 x 7800 GTX w/ACS3
2 x 1GB OCZ Platinum
2 x 74GB Raptors
2 x Western Digital 400GB SATA II 16MB
1 x Seagate 400GB SATA
Audigity II
Aspire X Navigator
Termalright SI-120
5 x Thermaltake Smart Fan 80mm
1 x Thermaltake Smart Fan 120mm
Cooler Master AeroGate II
2 x NEC DVD DL Burner
Floppy

I am ocing my CPU and plan on doing the same for my GTXs and Ram.

Should I stick with OCZ 520 or buy the OCZ SLI Ready 600W?

OCZ 520 will easily handle this without breaking a sweat. Heck even the 420 model could. The powerstream series is probably the most underrated PSU in terms of power rating. The 420 model can sustain 520 watts of load and has 30A on 12V rail. The 520 has 33A and can do something like 620 watts. Even if you consider 75% efficiency rating, there is no way your system will break 450 watts peak power. Not to mention you got adjustable rails in case things get shaky and 5 year warranty -- which means if it explodes you get a new one.

Worst case scenario, you can always buy a new one if it doesnt cut it, but why waste money until you are proven that it is insufficient?

That's a beautiful PSU, it should handle anything. Its not really underrated, OCZ is just honest in a way that others aren't; plus, it uses good hard (not soft) hardware.

That's not normal- lots of people are happy with theirs. Just remember that no PSU maker has a perfect track record, even the good ones.

There is a reason a lot of top overclockers use OCZ PSUs. The 520W unit will do you fine. A lot of guys with crazier rigs than yours get along great with the 520W Powerstream.

I love my OCZ modstream, but it only has 28amps which is cutting it close..

The power Stream series kicks ass, and has plenty of leg in it!

yeah the ocz warranty is also amazing and i'm very happy with my 520 watt sli ready powerstream

Im going to stick with the 520 Powerstream until I know for sure that it can't handle my rig.

How will I know when the PSU is not enough?
Will the power shut off?
Will the 12v show less than that on the monitoring software?

Well thats the good thing about the powerstream, It has adjustable rails so you can always turn it up if its running a little low. This PSU should be more than enough to meet your needs I'm having no problems with mine

Don't trust software monitoring solutions to give accurate readings of the voltage on your rails. If you really want to check them, get a multimeter and do it yoruself.

If the PSU can't handle it, the computer will either shut off or you will see a large dip in the voltage on one of the rails (this is somethign you can use software solutions for. While they dont' give accurate readings, they can somewhat accurately show you a change in teh voltage).
