Is official xbox 360 memory card the only way to transfer game from one system to another.

I recently bough a jasper 360 to be used oin my own room and I want to transfer my old save from my brother 360 system. Problem, none of us have a memory card and jasper come with internal memory. Is there a way to transfer my old save without paying for a official 360 memory card which are extremely overpriced?

It's pretty stupid that you're forced to use proprietary medium for the transfer even though the console comes w/ USB ports, giving you the possibility to use flash drive.

Not only does it have USB ports, but it's capable of reading flash drives for other purposes. Microsoft really screws you on the accessories in general. I'm guessing their reason for this particular screw-job is because memory cards could be used to soft-mod the original Xbox.

can't you just take the hard drive from the old machine, put it on the new one, and move the save over?

or do you both have jaspers?

so I can take my brother hdd and move the game save to my jasper internal memory then put it back? Would it affect my brother's system in anyway?

Yes you can, I just fired up my 360 to try it. They give you the option of Copy or Move.

I tried again today for another game but they don't allow transfer save over different profile.
