Is powerstrip free

The 3rd party program to use custom resolutions seems to be free.

Some sites show that it's only a 30 day trial and others say the it's a basic free version and you would have to pay 30 bucks for the full version.

Anybody?

No, it isn't. There is a trial or demo app available.

I can't remember what the limitations were, though. I think it's a 30-day trial with the Tip Of The Day window forced on you. Also, IIRC you can't update your monitor's firmware with the trial but this is generally not necessary to force resolutions.

I believe the 'shareware' version will not time out but in order to eliminate the nag screen at the Win launch desktop you must purchase a license. If yah need it can't beat $30 . . .

Just use a torrent site, it's a small file.

Rivatuner can do some of the stuff that Powerstrip can (like overclocking).

Yeah, I already have Rivatuner. I need a program that will spit out custom resolutions and custom timings. I don't think Rivatuner can do that.
