Money actually has nothing to do with how I judge music - or rap for that matter.
Suffice to say many of the greatest musicians of all time died broke. You may have heard of some of them - Mozart was just one of the many. Therefore the fact that Jay-Z has a lot of money impresses me not in the least. The Backdoor Boys and N'Stynk also rake in the bucks, yet nobody in their right mind could claim they're talented musicians.
Musically ability is most certainly not something that can in anyway be judged by financial success. Marketing can be judged that way, but then again marketing is simply a shorter way of saying "never let the truth get in the way of sales."
As I said rap is for those who don't know music and who can neither read, write nor spell.
