I agree with Cichli.. Bunch of droning in mainstream. I'm so so sick of it. The Britneys, the Simpsons, The N*stynks, Jay-Zits..

this type of enculteration is what will never appeal to me. The type of subliminal programming that serves only to enslave, sustain conformity, and feed the emptiness that can never be fulfilled in this manner.

Matrix, anyone? eheh

Anyways, this type of programming spills into the beauty / glamour / image industry. Modern-based societies have become cults obsessed on appearance.

Rap is sub-average mainstream, much better in the underground / hiphop scene.

My fav is liquid-pop and breaking. The roots are in the passion of the people, not these money-smooching wannabes on MTV.

C-Rap derived from a lack of grey matter. Most commonly used by low life skumb as a mouth peice for the depressionn and despare caused from the guilt of being millionares that still collect government cheese. To call a bunch of idiots with a strange attraction to living life like an animal on the street and that propensity towards violance...oh let's not forget their is no real undertandable method of creation like in rock. It would almost seem easy to speak in rhyme for a time. My dog is smart enough to know that rap is not music. (I KNOW NOT ALL C-RAP SONGS ARE NEGATIVE NOR DO I CARE THEY ALL SUCK!) This is just my opinion so if you don't agree I don't care I don't want to see my pm go off. Even if it does I'm not going to read it.

I suppose that these so-called scholars that have studied music for several years should decide what is and is not music for the rest of humanity. I mean, we should never think for ourselves, or broaden our horizons.

Hell, while where at it, since rap isn't music, let's continue on down the list. I guess Native American tribal chants wouldn't be music either--all it is, really, is a bunch of unintelligible mumbling... it doesn't even rhyme!

Oh, and what about Death Metal? That sure as hell isn't music either. Just a bunch of losers abusing their electric guitars, screaming about raping corpses.

Hmmm... what else? Electronica. A bunch of repetitive computer generated tones accompanied by an overly heavy drum beat. Hardly music at all!

exactly. it's the ignorant opinions of those people who fuel the 'negative' lyrics.

rap is the greatest music of our culture and generation. everything you listen to pales in comparison. the only gratification you receive from your music is when you are all by your lonesome, which leads to other forms of self-gratification. HAH!
