Is Ripplehost still down?

Crap. Now I gots no email. Grrr....

Apparently my Ripplehost account ended on 2/05 but I never got an email or anything. This last week it just died.

And my stupid wife maxed out my credit card. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR....................

This is the perfect opportunity to switch to a better web host, so it's a blessing in disguise (sort of) :thumbsup:

looks like ripplehost is back up, but I didn't notice any explanation. This last outage prolly lost him alot of customers, and the unaddressed propaganda that was being passed around will probably lose him more (I'll still probably go over to e-rice over the next few months).

Higherhost seems pretty good as well (price/feature ratio is slightly better than erice). Rossman originally recommended, but not sure if the recommendation still holds.

Ripplehost is crap.....and NO....you don't get what you pay for there. You pay for webspace without fancy service and that's what you used to get. My site has been down for 4 days now and 2 weeks ago it was down for 3 days. As soon as it comes back up I'm backing up my site and pulling out like Alan is a Tijuana hooker and I'm a mule.....wait...it feels like the other way 'round.

My Hostpc account has been fantastic so I'll take my ripplehost account to them.

I've been feeling that pounding sensation in my rear end for a while now with ripplehost..

OK my angry rant is over

Hi RossMAN, You've always had great direction for me in the hosting realm. In this instance the expectations and the price were both set by ripplehost/alan. The idea was you pay a cut rate price for web space with little to no help. This is what they provided for a long time. My site has been down for...going on a week now. I'll gladly pay more for reliability but that wasn't the sacrifice for cash agreement. Again, thanks for the expertise you have brought to the table and I guarantee you I'll be reading a lot of your posts in making my next hosting decisions.
