I've gotten better discounts online for a lot of hotels and stuff that they offer (parents with AAA got a room for $60...i got the SAME EXACT room 2 doors down for $40). The good thing is they provide you with free map and trip routes, but really all that an be gotten online too. my parents have it and it is good. You get good discounts on stuff like Hotels and that....and the 24/7 roadside support is nice too@!

It's the same logic that says that if you pay car insurance and never get in an accident, you're spending money you never get back. One of my friends' Vanderbilt economics professor has only liability insurance on his luxury car, so I'd say it's reasonable logic.
