I said, "No, thank you I can get it (I'm pretty fiercely independent)." She continued walking to the door, and I said, "No really I can get it," and she proceeded to open the door for me. So I said, "Some of us like to be independent," And she yells back (so far it was calm tones), "Well some of us want to do this!" - basically saying, "I don't care what you say!"

At work we are supposed to use our badge to unlock the door. We are not supposed to "hold the door" as they want everybody to badge in. So, anybody who doesnt hold the door is merely doing their duty.

We can hold the door here but if you do, you have to wait and make sure they still badge in an that the light turns green.

I mean there are some people that really try.... like someone will hold open the door but the person walking through will still scan his badge even though the door is already open. It makes you look incredibly stupid.

It can certainly be annoying at times. They are adding turnstiles to the external doors in all the buildings in the HQ eventually, thus far I think they have it in 1 or 2 of the buildings where all the execs work.
