What a game it was! I haven't been able to watch the Wolves much this season, but they have an awesome group of young guys. I just hate that the franchise's continuous suckage awarded them Wiggins AND Towns, ridiculous.

The wolves can be fun to watch. Zach Lavine is a heck of a player too, much 'headier' than when first entering the league (and ever clutch sometimes.) They played great defense on the warriors and rode their studs in OT. However I don't see them winning much in general with Rubio because even though he's a great passer, he has too many holes in his game.

Last night's loss is all on Steph. His shot just wasn't falling and the Warriors will live and die by his shot, they did enough to win (outrebounded and more assists). A lot less likely that they'll break the record now but at least AI is back for the stretch run. No excuses now.

Unfortunately for the Warriors, Steph lately has not been the Steph of the first 60-ish games. Still has some amazing performances, but some real duds too. They've ridden him all season for productivity in crunch time, and when he's off, they are vulnerable. Fortunately they have a very strong defense to keep them in games when his shots aren't hitting, but can struggle without that unstoppable knockout punch.

I think Wiggins will be gone after his rookie contract. He just never seems interested ... I get that his personality is kinda like that, but ... eh.

I think they could win with Rubio ... I mean, the past few years they've been hideous without him. Ownership is more of a problem. They won't make a playoff run until they get an owner that isn't more concerned with appeasing friends than with actually winning.

That would be tragic, but up to him. He's showing his elite possibilities but really needs to put in the work to play consistently at an elite level. He's better than I thought he would be, as I would have gone with Jabari Parker over him.

His fg% is atrocious this year at 37.5%, and when I've seen him, he's been inconsistent in crunch time. He can be a disruptive defender, and is a 'true point guard' with great vision, and if he weren't such a head case shooting the ball, it would be a much different conversation imo.

will the spurs put up a fight? they can take one of those games, if they want to

curry going for 400 might be hurting their chances a bit

I think the spurs will minimize starters minutes in Oakland, but go for the kill in SA, since losing at home to another contender is a no-no (and could give them a league home-win season record.) But I don't expect either team to reveal all of their cards to win, which they will do when they are expected to meet them in the playoffs.

72 wins! Steph is getting smarter, when his 3pt shot is off he's just driving to get the 2 because he's just as good finishing (which he did vs SA in their home blowout) - seeing steph and klay do that more vs SA. Amazing win tonight at San Antonio, they now break the Bulls road mark with 34 wins (bulls had 33) and have a chance to get 73 on Wednesday night.

Even if they don't win the championship this year this team is in the early phases of a dynasty with what they've accomplished (only 2nd team ever to win 70 or more + single season road record mark). The old timers who are saying that Steph couldn't hang in another era are looking dumber after each milestone. Even the S.A. announcers said tonight that Steph could play in any era and that he's a "once in a lifetime" talent after he dribbled through the entire Spurs D to run clock, then dribbled past a double team to hit a layup. He's insane.

I missed that game, instead watching Spieth choke. OMG... what a mistake (even though I would have had to transport myself to a bar). I did not stick around for the green jacket ceremony, watching Spieth put it on another is something nobody should see, not this year.

“(Former Bulls big man) Jud Buechler will call me to congratulate me,” Kerr said. “That’s my guy. And Luc Longley will have some snarky joke for me. And everybody else will just mutter expletives under their breath and leave me alone.”

He's so cool under that looming pressure. Kerr is a lucky bastard. They most likely will beat the Bulls record.

Props (with the hope they lose the next one. ) Steph would destroy old defenses...they weren't as sophisticated, couldn't handle the ball movement, and definitely couldn't close the space needed to keep him from getting his shot off. They also didn't have the abundance of great shot blockers either (60's-70's), so he'd get it done either way. There really should be no debate, except for the level of mental aptitude remaining in some of the old timers. The amazing thing is how much of a stud Klay Thompson would be if he were not in the shadows of such a phenom.

I didn't expect SA to lose in SA, but the more I've watched the warriors lately, they live and die by Curry's shot. They pretend they don't, but he dominates the ball late in games, and if Thompson isn't on fire, they can struggle. However that's not to suggest they're doing it all wrong.

I'm happy to see Curry has no chance for the best historical PER season anymore, and will probably finish 6 through 10. As remarkable a season he's had, Jordan and James (and Chamberlain) still had multiple better seasons. (as a GS hater, gotta find something. )

^lol. How does one become a GS hater? They've been the league punching-bag for something like 32 of the last 36 years (and that leaves maybe 2 years not including this and the previous season.)

Its complicated. I grew up around there, watched the TMC, Billy Owens, Marcialunis(?) days (among many others), but none of my friends at the time ever gave a carp. Now they all love them. Disgusting. So fark GS.

That said, as long as they don't encroach on or impede the goals of my favorite teams, or sully their historical records by surpassing them...I wish them well.

Before the golden era of Golden State (i.e. the last couple years), in my mind they were only really exciting when they had Tim Hardaway, drafted in '89, the TMC days. Tim at 6' was 3" shorter than Curry, was also a great ball handler. Mitch was great, so strong(!), could really shoot, handle the ball. Chris, well, a great great shooter, no question, but his athleticism wasn't as impressive as T&M.

That was a great team as well, gets me nostalgic.

what a ridiculous statistic

Curry made 10 3-pointers Wednesday, finishing the regular season with 402, a staggering number in that, before this season, no one had made as many as 300 3's in a year. Curry was the previous NBA record-holder for 3's in a season with 286, which he set last season.

And yet there are those that think the 3-point shot should be banned. If you don't like him knocking down the threes come out and stop him. No, they don't want to do the work and would prefer his game ruled invalid.

Kind of pointless to compare eras and all but it's looking like the Warriors could hang with any team of the past and Steph is in the running along with the likes of MJ, Russell and Magic.

How much do you think the Lakers would pay to have him now that Kobe is toast.

Props to Curry and the Warriors. That's a mind blowing stat. There should be no doubt he gets most improved player as well, since it's a hell of a lot harder to raise one's game from the level that he played at last year (mvp) to the insane level he played at this year...as opposed to someone who didn't get much playing time last year and now is, and is taking advantage of it to score 20 a game...CJ McCollum.

cash money!

Congrats! About a week and a half ago espn gave it a 14% chance and it wasn't looking good...way to go.

Thanks! Yes I'll be honest and say I was very worried after the loss to Minnesota, wasn't sure if we could win in SA but they really just had an amazing game. I think now we could beat them in SA even when both teams are at full strength (Diaw).

the 3's that curry is hitting are ridiculous too. i watched the first quarter last night and the dude pulls up for a 3 from like 2 feet infront of the ring around half court and nails it. the series or one next right after that one, he hit another crazy three after rolling off a screen all off balance.

Great graphic, for warrior fans and bulls fans. 24-0 to start the season was another surreal accomplishment. For it to take over 20 years to get to 72 wins, and another 20 to get to 73, 74 wins may not happen in this lifetime.
