As a legitimate hunter, I find the SparkyJJO poorly reasoned and too typical of a non gun owner.
As I point out, "You can only drive one car at a time, why have more than one?" Point being I drive a high milage compact car most of the time, but when I need a load of lumber
or to haul a new refrigerator, I need a pickup truck because my high milage compact car won't do the job.

In terms of sports hunting it takes at least 3 guns to handle the range of North American hunting. A 22 rim fire for very small animals, a shotgun for birds, and a high powered rifle for deer and larger game.
So how come the 22LR is so popular if gun owners crave manly power and dominance?

There is that uneasy-ness in the air and the people who just robbed you have the thought "should we kill him" rolling around in their heads. Been there dude. It flipped my view 180, I like my life. I never really got the whole thing with wanting to own guns, and in often cases, multi kill guns (semi/full automatic or that can easily be modded as so). And why more than one? You can only shoot one at a time. Why have a locker full of AK47's and other similar riffles?
Don't get me wrong, I think it would be neat to go to a shooting range to try different guns, but I would see no need to have one at home or carry one all the time unless I hunt. Personally it's just not in me to want to kill an animal, but I have nothing against people who do it humanely and for food.

Oh come on. I grew up with a .22LR and have been shooting since I was 8. Believe it or not, some people just like shooting. I grew up in a hunting family and still enjoy plinking with a .22LR. I still hunt.

I can honestly say I think the majority of gun owners have killing fantasies, they fantasize about killing people. They fantasize about the day a person breaks into their home, so they can gun them down and kill them.
Honestly with the castle laws, I think most gun owners in these states would even gun down a little children who jump into their back yard. A 12 year old girl jumps a fence to get her ball, I can see the typical gun owner in Texas getting an orgasm as gun her down. Sickos really.
