I just heard from a friend of mine who's a reporter with a local paper that Bill Clinton is going to be in town to stump for a NJ congressional race (Linda Stendler, running for Mike Ferguson (R) seat, who's not running for reelection).

is it just me or does it seem weird to shuffle off one of the most popular democratic figures to some random congressional race in a blue state while Al Gore of all people is the one campaigning for Obama in Florida?

You can tell the republirats are clutching at the last straw desperate when they start talking about Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinski. Less than a week to go, and all their swift boats sink as they are launched.

Not proud - just reporting what I see. This is the same thing the Democrats are doing on this board. Oh yeah, I forgot - the Democrats live by double standards and selectively choose what they want to post about the Republicans; along with choosing which which rules of our constitution they (Democrats) want to follow.

Monica Lewinsky now lives in New York City - close enough to New Jersey.

Bill is now rich. He can do better.

I was going to vote for Lance, but damn, breakfast all day? sign me up.

1) My goal is to promote BREAKFAST as the most delicious meal of the day. I feel that people in the 7th district and nationwide often overlook the importance of breakfast. Breakfast foods are so good that you can really eat them any time of day (even for dinner). Try eating a dinner food for breakfast. 7am hotdogs??yuck! I feel that more emphasis should be put on breakfast on a national level. If everyone started the day with a delicious breakfast, then surely all of our other problems could be dealt with in a more rational manner. If elected, I will fight to make Election Day a National Breakfast Awareness Day. Voting is one of the most important privileges we have in the US. You wouldn?t want to make this decision on an empty stomach. I will also fight for benefits for our nation?s farmers ? the men and women who help put so many of our beloved breakfast foods on the table.

Are you saying Bill Clinton is stumping for an unopposed candidate? If so, why?

I saw a bit of his speech in FL for Obama and it was very effective. They should definitely use him more for the close.

it's contested, there's just no incumbent.

I believe it's a tight race, but still -- seems like a waste of resources for a single house seat in a blue state when he could stump for races in red states and get additional coverage to help Obama in the state. it's not like this district is even close enough to PA to get picked up on their networks.

I'm thinking they don't want him in Red states, Bill ain't popular among Repubs. I kinda think Obama would rather not tie himself to Bill in a Red state, I'm not even sure a lot of independants like Bill.

Given it's a tight race (as you say), might be smart to have him campiagn in Blue states, where he's very popular, to help out Dem candidates in a tight race. I'm guessing this where they think he can the most good (and the least damage).

I also wouldn't be surprised if there's some underlying emotion as well - say like Obama doesn't wanna be beholded to Bill when he wins.

For that stat you would want to use the, support Sarah Palin percentage.

Bill Clinton campaigns for Obama in Florida

KISSIMMEE, Fla. ? Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, the last Democratic president and the man Democrats hope will sweep them back to power, converged Wednesday night in Florida to set aside their feud, woo voters and pass the baton.

This was yesterday. They have these new fangled things called airplanes. Maybe Clinton used one of those.
