Can you substantiate those details about Floyd? Not saying you're wrong. I'd like to use that info to counter some of the 'we need progress' arguments.

A school official and his wife made racial slurs. Telling black men to stay away from white women because they are problems, "No pink toe's".

Ed come home, every time he come home, he be like, ‘Them crackers shaking. They going crazy. They don’t know what to do. They shaking. They can’t talk to Ricky. They’re like some crackheads running around there.

This is all on audio tape. She stated that she thought it was private, and wouldn't be shared. He was caught up in a money scandal with athletes at the university at the time. Her logic is fantastic;
We ain't discriminating. We've all got white friends

So what we have is a school president who was basically forced to step down because of mostly lies. The guy who went on his 'no eating' kick because supposedly the president hit him with a car? Video shows no such thing. In fact, it shows he ran into the presidents car. The president was trying to get away. Then the student president claims KKK was there and he is helping with that situation with the national guard. Not so much, he lied about that. The same person who reported some white kid called him a racial slur off campus. No evidence to back this up, and he is already outed as a liar.

So we have evidence of the university of Missouri official and his wife using racial slurs. And the university of Missouri president (as of a few days ago) not using them, and having false allegations thrown at him, and he has to step down? Wow, just wow.

There are more links, I got tired of looking. It just is amazing at the hypocrisy that the university is showing. Slandering someone into them resigning. Based on lies.

I bet enrollment in Mizzou takes a sharp dive. Who in their right mind would want to go there now? Especially if they want an education. The Mizzou Brand has been severely tarnished.

I hope their team gets killed the last games. I don't want to hear the announcers babble on about it either. I am embarrassed they are part of the SEC now.

With the environment there so unsafe, why would anyone want their kids to go there?

The hypocrisy from Missouri is astounding. In 2003 the President of Missouri, Carmento Floyd, called white people "crackers" and told football players not to date white women, calling them "pink toes". Racial slurs all over. Do you think there were protests, student presidents lying to further their agenda? Do you think he was fired or resigned?

One president uses multiple racial slurs, one president does not. Totally different outcomes.

If you are going to pull things out of your ass at least make them accurate.

The cracker comment was made by the wife of the assistant AD of the school. Who by the way did not work for the school. The AAD apologized for his wife's comment and said it was wrong.

I also love how the answer to black students being harassed on campus is to do nothing.

Guarantee if black males were harassing their precious little white girls there would have been a response from the school administration.

What is the president supposed to do?

I'm not a University President but here would have been a place to start...

Acknowledge the incidents and the concerns of black students.
Meet with the student council, black student groups and law enforcement. Review the incidents, discuss possible actions items.

It would have been a start. Would it have solved anything? I don't know but it would have at least shown blacks he wants them to have a welcoming educational environment.

Instead not only did the President do nothing he said their concerns were "imagined"

Most adult black people I know who had a bunch of rednecks yell 'n$$$gr' at them would have done nothing. Because they're adults. The kids freaking out over trivial racism are simply not prepared for the real world. These are sheltered brats, imho.

I corrected myself if you would read the whole thread. I misread the article the first time. The fact that you so easily dismiss a racial slur by a school official because they "apologized" is telling. I'll go back and fix it to make you happy.

What should the president have done? What should be have done about an allegation off campus that sure looks to be false now. The one where supposedly someone drunk called him a racial slur. Since it was made by the same guy who claimed the KKK was sighted on campus. When no such thing happened. Pretty hard to believe him. What should he have done about the allegation that he hit the protester that later went on the hunger strike? He didn't hit him, video shows this.

What other incidents are there? What did he do? What could he have done better? What negligence did he do that warranted him to step down?

So you would acknowledge the incidents, before reviewing the incidents? That doesn't make any sense, especially since some of the incidents didn't happen. Seems pretty silly to admit something happened without investigating it first. Really sound logic you have there.

edit, ignoring that some of these alleged incidents did not happen that caused a man to lose his job is very troubling. The fact that the hate storm he had to face was based in part on lies is terrible. That his reputation is tarnished by men willing to lie to further push their agenda. And yet somehow he is still the bad guy. When actual racism by the school has occurred, and nothing happened.

But fuck it, it's Friday and I'm out. Enjoy your weekend, go join a protest this weekend that is based on lies.

Most black adults if they work at a company and are being called n***er by other employees and find racial slurs written on bathroom stalls are not just going to take it.

I was with my son who was 14 at the time. We were on a driving range that was close enough to the street where we got the redneck pickup truck drive by ni**er shout. There wasn't anything we could do but swallow our anger and move on.

But that's fine cause we are in Merica.

Perfect Example of a millennial pussy. Comments are pretty good.

You shouldn't tell people to just ignore death threats on a campus. Not in a country where campus shootings happen a few times a year. Granted, it's not very likely that a shooting will happen with a warning like this but it's still not how you should treat it.

That said, I think this was kind of taken the wrong way. His e-mail sounded like he was saying that people should do what they feel like they need to do for safety, and that he decided he would personally not give in to the threats and still hold the exam. So I don't think he was criticizing the students for "giving in", per se. But it's kind of hard to see holding the exam as not encouraging people to show up. At the very least he should have assured people that there'd be some other way to take the exam later.

Either way, feeling that he needed to resign over this is really over the top.

The protesters never got their school's past president to admit to his white privilege as they demanded. This particular demand was our first clue regarding the kind of "honest" dialog these people really want in order to provide a "safe" place from a racially charged environment at the school. While many of their demands appear to be reasonably legitimate...they lost me on Demand #1. If that's their idea of a good way to start constructive dialog...they're sadly mistaken.

Their problem was making demands in the first place. Conflict language used towards people who are already likely to be standoff'ish.

Just another example of the tactless, immature approach these kiddos have towards making change.

Kids will be kids and you need to cut them some slack on how they voice their frustrations, but they definitely need to be called out for their divisive actions in no uncertain terms in my opinion. They want dialog...fine. They want to rub whitey's 'white privilege' in their face...not so fine.

Hey we finally have some answers to this thread. Didn't want to start a new thread.

http://www.kansascity.com/news/local/article200011139.html

Russian Twitter trolls stoked KKK fears at Mizzou during 2015 protests, report says

Russian Twitter trolls masterminded a tweet that fueled erroneous reports that the Ku Klux Klan was patrolling Mizzou’s campus during the 2015 student protests at the University of Missouri, a U.S. Air Force officer wrote in an article on “information-age warfare” published in Strategic Studies Quarterly late last year.

The hoax was part of a calculated and government-supported effort by Russia to disrupt democracies, and a warm-up to subsequent efforts to use social media to manipulate public opinion during the 2016 presidential election.

The article, published by Lt. Col. Jarred Prier, direction of operations for the 20th Bomb Squadron, delves into how “social media is a tool for modern information-age warfare.”

The article is taken from a thesis he completed as a master’s degree candidate at the Air University for the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies.

According to his article, Missouri Students Association president Payton Head was also influenced by the tweet. On Nov. 11, 2015, Head warned students to stay off the streets because KKK members had been confirmed on campus. He later apologized after police stated the reports were unconfirmed, and said he did not intend to “incite more fear in the hearts of our community.”

But people in this very forum tell me that threats of Russia mingling here are all a ruse and that we have our own free will!
I have a 13 inch penis.

Woohoo now I can claim that too since it was said on this forum!

You know and I know neither of those are true though. And no one else dare ask how I know he knows it isn't true.

So we're seeing how social media has allowed hostile actors to stoke tensions.
social media has really opened up how fragile and violent we really are. This has been there for, maybe forever? Now the time is perfect for conspiracy theories to self confirm and perpetuate with the freedom to carefully carry out those plans

Nice to see P&N Righthadists getting to the bottom of this - say, what are your findings on:
- The War On Christmas
- Christians being persecuted
- White men being bigoted against
- Reverse racism
- Race baiting
- The Liberal Media
- ACA Death Panels
- ACA killing jobs
- Benghazi
- Fetuses sold like chopped up chicken parts
- Mexican immigrants infected with Ebola
- Hillary's emailing practices
- The downtown NYC mosque being a foothold of victory by invading Muslim forces
- Obama's birth certificate being fake
- Obama being a Muslim

But, you would rather focus on a shit smeared wall, because a bunch of Negro students said it happened.

By all means, get to the truth of Shitghazi - however, if you lead off with the idea that it was a lie, all for the purposes of manipulating people AND you have a problem with that; then you need to clean up your side of the street first.
You forgot the pizza parlor.
