Is the Herc Prophet II 64MB's 2D ok or is CLA2 better?

I'm trying to decide between a 64mb Prophet or a 32mb cla2. The prophet has 64mb of ram but ive heard stories about its horrible 2d. Is the cla2 any better? Is the prophet really that bad? Please help.

My CL geforce 2 was DOA when it arrived from buy.com so i bought a hercules 64 mb geforce 2 and have been happy as a clam. The 2d looks great to me though i haven't run it at 1600x1200, only 1280 and below. I'm sure the monitor you use affects things as well, not just the video card. Just buy a card and see for yourself, if you don't like it, return it... nothing more than time wasted but your time is worth the effort.

I have the Herc 64megger as well, and there are no problems whatsoever with the 2d. Worms Armageddon looks perfect as well.

It was my understanding that the 2d performance on all the GTS cards were the same... or similar.

am i wrong?

anyways, i have a herc 64mb gts and i'm very pleased. overclocks well (mine at least...i've heard some had problems).
