Awhile ago, I saw a topic in this forum about the 660 TI not being "symmetric" I think this was the therm, it wasn't "symmetric" because it had 192-bit and 2GB, someone said that it had 2 slots of 512MB and a slot of 1GB. So some VGAs had a "memory wall" using only 1500MB instead of 2GB.
This scared me a lot.
So, I am willing to buy a new VGA, I am between 770 and 280X.
I am, most likely, getting 280X because it's 3GB and 384-bit but the question is:
Is the R9 280X "symmetric"? Does it really have 3GB and no "wall memory"?
My specs:
3570k @4.0
GA-Z77X-UD5H
4x4 1600Mhz
6870
Crucial M4 120
Seasonic S12II 620
Thank you!
