Is the size of the EVO 4G a problem for anyone?

I thought it would. At work I have to carry it in my shirt pocket and was very concerned whether it would fit or not. It fits fine. Unless you wear really tight pants it will fit in your jeans fine. It really isn't a problem at all.

After playing with one for a few minutes I found its size to be a bit annoying. Which is why I'm about to buy a Nexus One.

If you're a small guy it might be, but I find this phone "fits" me better than any other I've had.

The one annoyance is having to hit the power button on the top to turn on the screen, which can be hard in one handed operation if you have small hands.

I have an HD2, same size and love it, these phones have small bezels and they're not really that much bigger.

Going in I was worried since I apparently have little girl hands despite being a dude, but it really hasn't been a problem. Typing one-handed in portrait mode is a little more difficult than it was on the iPhone, but other than that no issues here.

Don't have an Evo, but I've been looking at them extensively specifically for their size and trying them on for "fitting" in anticipation of picking up a Droid X.

It doesn't seem big at all to me, I can palm it and conceal it in one hand, IMO the perfect size requirement. Everything else is just tiny and still recovering from the "zomg it has to be the size of a piece of gum and fit on a key chain" fasion craze. I think small is out, we've proven we can make things smaller than our human ability to interface and interact with it.

The only thing I won't be able to do is keep it in my front pocket in a car with side bolstered seats, but no big deal since you'd likely want a landscape car dock for a phone like that anyway (not to mention you'd be crazy to not take advantage of throwing it in a charger any chance you get).

It seems pretty slim, so even tight pants might work fine I'd think. Skinny/small pockets would be an issue though, eh?

Coming from the tiny Pre, the EVO's 4.3" screen is a godsend.

The form factor is just the right size, big enough to actually be able to do stuff like email and browse the web without getting eye-strain from looking at a 3" screen, and not too big that you can't use it one-handed (while hanging on to a post on a crowded train, pervs!).

Yes. Part of why I didn't get it. Moreso it just doesn't feel comfortable in my pocket unless I'm wearing cargo pants or something.

I really like the Droid Eris in terms of size for a pure touchscreen phone (all the other HTC Heroes have the damn chin).

Again, small-framed dude here. I haven't had any trouble fitting my Evo in my pocket and it's perfectly comfortable there, just as my iPhone + case was. It's actually thinner than my iPhone was with the hard case on it. Jeans, dress slacks, whatever. Works perfectly fine.

Yeah hasn't been a problem for me at all either. Slips right into my jeans/pants pocket. Fits right in with my keys, id and everything else. Using the touch kb is nicer too since the keys are bigger.

heh, i guess i'm in the minority. it "fits" in my pocket fine, i just find it very annoying. moreso than others, especially when I sit down.

Same, it's much less noticeable overall than my old Fuze/Touch Pro because of how thin it is. I've even fallen asleep with the phone in my pocket more than once, it's not an issue.

I actually kinda doubt that I'd ever go back to a phone with a smaller screen now...

I'm the same way. I'd actually like to try the Dell Streak with the TMobile radio in it. Will likely snag one from the Dell Outlet when they show up there.
