Is the Striker Extreme worth it?

Given that it's about $120-150 more than other really nice boards. Those being IP35-Pro, P5k-E. And about $80 than the Nf68-A1.

I know it's something of a apples to oranges comparison given some are SLI and some aren't, but is it worth it?
What do you get for the extra $?

You've just answered to your own question. If you aren't aware of the benefits, then why pay the extra $? I've seen Q6600 @ 4.0GHz (1M Super Pi stable) on a $70 Abit IP35-E.

Why does a Rolex cost so much more $ than a $30 LCD watch? If you use the watch for timekeeping, then the LCD is the clear winner because it keeps more accurate time.

Bottom-line is ASUS has produced the Striker Extreme for a staggering $400 US, making it $130 US more expensive than the P5N32-E SLI and they simply forgot to show anything for the extra money. The P5N32-E SLI is every bit as impressive without the unbelievable price tag! We really feel sorry for anyone that purchased the Striker Extreme under the impression that is was going to be better than the P5N32-E SLI, as it simply is not. There is not a great deal more we can say really?

As you noted, you really should be comparing it to other SLI boards. P35 boards are naturally cheaper. That being said, for a single card setup P35 is great, and for SLI the Striker Extreme is overpriced.
