Is the Volcano 8 a good cooler? Is it loud?

Is the Volcano 8 a good cooler? Is it loud?
It seems better then the Volcano 6CU+, but it's fan looks so weak.

I pretend using it with a brand new Athlon XP 2200+.
I already have a Volcano 6Cu+, but it is loud and I don't think the 6Cu+ is good enough for a 2200+, since mine 1800+ is already at 56°C full load.

Any help is welcome!

The Volcano 8 is rated at 35dB which most people would say is far from quiet. I think this is also Thermalrights HS designed for tight fitting areas. If you dont need something that small I would reccomend a HS that uses 80mm fans. Since you are in Brazil, I dont know what is available to you, but all of Thermalrights offerings, especially the SK7 and SLK800 would be a good choice. If you really want a Thermaltake HS, you would probably be better off with the Volcano 9 or 11. I have never used either, so I dont know which is better. I am sure someone else here will comment.

Volcano 9 is pretty quiet if you can leave it on the low RPM setting. If you are overclocking or for some other reason need to turn it up to the higher speed it does sound just a little like a jet engine.

You can pick up a new cooler Master 's Aero 7+ or the best SLK800, 900.
If you want somethign cheaper, cooler master's x dream can be found for $13 which is similar
to Volcano 9.

If it's available to you, try to pick up a Thermalright SK7, SLK800, or SLK900
