I dunno... but I don't think anyone would really cross their arms and frown if sitting in concert watching the Beatles perform "Hey Jude." The song just screams for a happy singalong.
Funny you pick one of my most hated songs of all time. A plodding body with a fadeout that lasts far too long :^D
Do you have one genre of music that you love above all else?

I've never met anyone that doesn't like Coheed and Cambria.
People who say they hate the Beatles simply have to be ignorant of the amazing, often ground-breaking breadth of the entire canon of their work. For instance, which Beatles genre are you talking about when you say you hate them?
The catchy, fun, initial pop Beatles? The wildly innovative psychedelic Beatles , to which all other bands who came after owe a debt? The beautifully melodic, heart-breakingly crafted Beatles of the White Album? The resurgent and lovable Beatles of Abbey Road?
Yeah, that John Lennon, what a hack!
You may think you're trendy and super cereal hip uttering such shallow, arrant nonsense.
You're not.

Or it could just be that I've never heard a Beatles song I like.
I "hate" Michael Jackson, and know or have known people who have said they "hate" PF, the Beatles, or the Beach Boys.
But I have never heard anyone say they hate Stevie Wonder. Has anyone?
i dont hate the beatles i just dont really like 90% of their music. same with the Stones, they have like 5 good songs and 40 or so years worth of crap
I am not really a Weezer fan. I really dislike U2 though, fucking "HELLO HELLOOOOO HOLA".
Does anyone hate The Who? Personally they're one of the only 'classic' rock band I genuinely like and since they don't have the huge following of Beatles/Zep/Stones I don't think they're quite as 'divisive'.
Maybe The Doors for kind of the same reasons.
And do you count Hendrix? I don't know if I've ever heard someone dislike Jimi.
You have to go for less mainstream and hipster-approved stuff to find anything that comes close to qualifying. For example, My Bloody Valentine or A Tribe Called Quest.
btw my dad and anyone else that loves 80's glam metal hates Nirvana and anything related.
EDIT: And I just have to say that while I can at least tolerate most of what has been mentioned (a good portion I enjoy), I don't like Weezer at all. They exemplify the college-student-with-a-guitar-thinking-he's-the-next-singer-songwriter-genius-romantic-of-our-era kind of indie rock that plagues the campus park benches.
