Hey guys just changed in my ring the following based on your recommendations:

1- Sound card: Creative SB X-FI Xtreme Audio P (54.99$) changed into Creative Xtreme Gamer (99.9$)
2- Ram PNY Memory XLR8 performance edition DDR2 1066 MHz 5-5-5-15 2.1 V 4Gb (94.99$) changed into OCZ Titanium edition PC2 6400 2x2 Gb 800 MHz 4-4-4-15 2.2 V 4(52.99$)

the balance was almost 0$ to pay. Hope that I reinvested correctly this time: please can you tell me if I lost a lot in performance and If I gained a lot in sound?

Wow, do you even want our advice?

We have all told you to just use the integrated Realtek sound instead of the Creative crap.

You probably won't lose much performance (if any) by going with the slower memory.

Also, it's called a RIG, not a RING. :Q

Sorry,for the psu I entered 4 cores instead of one: anyway I am putting all the things together now and just red the the GPU would need 750W (written in the manual).
I need to disable the GPU (Built in) in my 790gp as the manual of the diamond 4870 is telling to do that but couldn't find how to do it.

regarding the sound card red some good things about it as it is not like the old stuff of creative and should make a difference, if not will sell it.

If you put in a video card it will supersede your onboard graphics.

As for the 750w recommendation, many manufactures will overestimate the wattage because there are a fair amount of PSU makers that fudge the numbers to get higher wattage ratings. A 4870 will use about 130w and is limited by it's power input to 225w (75w from the pci-e and 2x 75w from the 6-pin connectors). That 750w is more than enough for 2 4870s in you rig.

So you have a fair amount of play in your system.

Thanks Shmide, so no need to do anything to the buit in GPU I just plug the new one without any affect on its performance; Is it the same for the sound card?

It will auto select as well. All new motherboards have it set to auto. You may want to install without your sound card first just so all the drivers for the chipset get installed correctly. Then put in the sound card and it should disable the onboard audio and you can then install that device.
