Is there a GOOD Registry Cleaner.

I tend to keep a close eye on what I install and what I don't. I'm quite familiar with the structure of the registry and tend to mess about with it with no problems. (famous last words )

I was wondering if anyone had used this registry cleaner Reg Cleaner. There are a few good reviews and bad ones. Is any1 aware of any others that might be worth a look at.

I use Norton Uninstall deluxe. It has a nice part where you can clean the registry.

It may not &quot;officially&quot; support Win2k but i use it w/ win2k and it works just fine... btw, I use win2k advanced server, just for reference.

It's better to do it manually but reg cleaner is a good program.

For the love of Anandtech, if you have McAfee's uninstaller and multiple drives, don't use the reg cleaner included with it, or any other Mcafee &quot;fix it&quot; type thing!

Try this one: RegCleaner. This isn't the one from microsoft (that's Regclean). Regclean from microsoft for instance is looking for CLSID's that are no longer valid. Regcleaner from Jouni Vuorio is among others looking for pointers to files that don't exist anymore. Both programs together will cleanup your registry just fine.
