Is there a program called Steam Down?

Using cracked versions of steam (Steam Down for example), you won't be able to connect to legit servers. Even if a patch comes out for your cracked steam to allow you to play legit servers, after all the trouble to get it working, it takes less than a week for valve to patch up all the legit servers with an update. Also, getting a cracked version to work online playing with cracked servers is also troublesome and you would usually just find hackers/script-kiddies playing on the server using aimbot wallhack...

I'd be mad too if I paid $55. I think I paid $49.99 the day it came out. I know I've seen it for sale around $30 and I have an extra key (free with Athlon 64) that I'm trying to get rid of cheap (pm if interested).

not true at all. look how long it took them to stop all the emporio releases.

and steam-down DOES work on legit servers if you own hl1 on the account, but then it's not completely free as the poster suggested. and you definitely DO risk getting your account banned.
