But what if I put MSG in my vaccines? :hmm:
Funny you should mention that.
It turns out that the neurotoxic properties of MSG only occurred in neonatal mice which were injected with very high doses.
The thing here is that mice are about the most sensitive organism to MSG that exist and it must be injected. No amount consumed caused this issue, and double blind studies haven't demonstrated that CRS even exists.
The problem is that people tend to have preformed opinions which cause them to seek validation independent of established facts. Take Olestra for example. "Anal leakage"? Well, sure it can. Vitamin deficiencies? Hypothetically, yes. I'd wager that most people don't even know what Olestra is or how it works, but they sure are against it. I recall that someone testified before Congress that Olestra needed to be banned because -get this- truckers might use it, have a wet fart and drive off the road.
No I did not make that up.
Olestra does one thing and that's to prevent fat absorption so the stool has more fat and it is "slippery" and that causes the potential leakage. Some vitamins are fat soluble and less readily absorbable but a deficiency? Not very likely considering supplements and vitamin fortification of foods.
Much should be taken with a grain of salt.
