Well, considering I have been to Five Guys, I suppose I am just not a normal human. A small fries is easily consumable by one person. Does that mean I advocate that? Not at all. When I do go to Five Guys (which isn't often), I will usually eat half the normal fries.

I suppose for reference sake, when I go to the movies I can finish a large popcorn and large soda from the time the first preview starts until before the actual movie starts, so about 15 minutes. I also drink a bottle of wine (750ml) in about 2 hours. If a 120lb Japanese guy can eat 70 hotdogs in 12 minutes, you guys need to man up once in awhile.

Well, here's a reference: I hit up Five Guys with my kids the other day. The small fry I received filled half a lunch-sized paper bag. That's a crapload of fries to go with a burger.

Making me hungry. I usually do a regular w/onions, pickles, jalapeno, mustard, ketchup, and hot sauce. They use raw sliced jalapeno, so it actually has some nice punch.

...so what happens to the other half? Does someone else eat them? Do you save them. If you eat "half the normal [medium?]fries", why not just get a small and eat all of them instead of wasting a normal fry?

And seriously, who even cares? I frankly don't WANT to stuff a bag full of fries into my face when there other food options.

Their food sucks, the size of fries is pretty meaningless unless all you care about is quantity. Where my dad use to live there was a place up the street where the fries came in a large pizza box. Probably 2x as much as Five Guys for the same price, and about 4 thousand times tastier.

i dont think the food sucks, but its not anywhere near good enough to justify the silly price they charge for a burgers, fries and a drink, imo.

Holy shit that's insane.

I've never been there, but maybe this chart is way off. Serving Size for the fries says 567g

By comparison, McDonalds is 154g at 500 calories for large fries

The closest single thing I could find on McDonald's menu to compare is the 40 piece chicken mcnuggets at a colossal 646g and 1880 calories
They literally fill a paper bag with fries. They know it's way more than 3 humans can possibly consume.

Huh? That is the nutritional info, not the ingredients. There are natural sugars in potato, that is why the fries have a value for sugar.

Strange how McDonalds and BurgerKing have 0 sugar in their fries. Could be because their fries are more of fries potato product, than actual fried cut potatoes.

McDonalds fries were on how its made. They are fried, then frozen, then refried. That is what makes them fry up so quickly at the store, and is what makes them a little poofed.

Anywhere that has that same texture to their frenchfries in the middle is double frying them. Which is just about everyone.

Oh, I thought it was some kind of potato product powdered pressed into a mold.

That's my Five Guys!

If you are still in the ATL, the 5 Guys at Suwanee Town Center is the best. On the weekends for sure with the short lady manager. They always bring it out and the Freestyle is keeped loaded. She used to run the one by Mall of Georgia, but corporate decided to close it. It was between Costco and Sam's, so we would hit it on grocery runs.

grilled onion, grilled mushrooms, A-1, hot sauce.

This thread caused me to go to Five Guys last week and it was delicious.

Regular cheeseburger
bacon
lettuce
tomato
grilled onions
mayo
bbq sauce

Small fries with lots of malt vinegar.

I didn't even know they sold a small. I thought it was normal and large. I might get that next time.

And I care. If you CAN'T "stuff a bag full of fries into your face" then I need be notified so I can put you down under the "not quite a man" list I am compiling. You probably can't even eat a Taco Bell 12 pack...

There was no need to bump this thread. I had already stated early on that Five Guys is awesome. You may all return to your duties.
