Is there a Shazam type app that will clean up my ID3 tags in iTunes?

Does something like this exist to clean up my MP3s in iTunes? Just let it run all night and re-tag all my MP3s to they're correct?

If you decide to purchase it, diggnation has a 15% off coupon. I'm pretty sure it was "diggnation" as the code during checkout.

i did purchase the lifetime license, and diggnation did indeed take off 15% so it was only ~$25

pretty impressed so far

Doe the demo provide full features for a limited time or limited features or what?

Limited number of fixes, basically. It lets you tag 100 songs. Otherwise, all features work.

Let me know how this works. I really need something like this, if it works.

Thanks.

So far, it's worked pretty well. There were a few tracks it couldn't ID, but I was really trying to break it. I might buy it, in fact.

I have over 27,000 tracks. I wonder how long that will take to tag them all?

If it took one track a second, that would be about 7.5 hours!

7.5 hours? How long do you sleep each night? I was going to try TuneUp on my PowerBook last night, but apparently it does not work on PowerPC. I am going to try it in Windows on my Hack since I have been spending a lot of time there lately for Mass Effect.

Sadly, only about 5-6 hours a night.

27,000 mp3s?! That's what, 2000 CDs or so? How long have you been pirating music?! Cuz obviously if you'd purchased or ripped all of those, they'd have better tags, but sheeeesh! I find it hard to believe there's even that many songs in existence I'd want to listen to.

I wonder if it's like a porn thing; more about collecting than actually watching.

Anywho, it's pretty decent program. Not perfect but good. One thing I like is that it seems to favor original recordings...in that it'll tell you what album a song is from instead of deciding its from a greatest hits or some other compilation, like Picard/jaikoz sometimes does.

Now only if serialbox had something to say about it. =]

I inherited them recently, thank you very much.

I have no idea what most of them are and I assume there are a bunch of duplicates. I need a program to help me organize them.

Works really great. Had a few songs that were missing their number or weren't attached to any album and it added them nicely. It did have problems with one or two though (as in found a completely wrong name for it).

But... how do you disable this TuneUp? It's starting with iTunes now and I don't want it to. I did add a few albums and used some of the 100 free song repairs so have still more to use up in the future, but I don't want to uninstall it, just disable it not to start with iTunes. How?

EDIT: nvm, found it.

I understand the need for security and trying to prevent piracy, but that one "transfer" rule kinda blows. Seems like it's saying you get to re-install once, and then your activation code is no longer good. For people who do clean wipes every so often, that's no so cool. I'm guessing something like doing a clean OS install, installing Tuneup, and then making a disk image and then rebooting to that would work, but still....

A+ for TuneUp, well worth the money! I nuked my 3,000+ song library the other day, mostly ripped from CD's, and it did WONDERFUL.

Now to find a good duplicate remover...

Did you do 500 at a time as recommended or all 3,000 at once?
