Is there a simple way to convert a .jpg to a .scr screensaver file?

I need to get rid of image persistance problems as described in this thread.

So far the only way I've came across that might end up working for me is to run a pure white image on my monitor for a really long time.

I made a pure white image in the size of my monitor's resolution with Paint, and then I saved it as a .jpg.

I can then use this a screensaver by selecting the "My Pictures Slideshow" option in XP. However, the problem with this is that the maximum I can do is set it to change every 3 minutes, yet I want it to never change so that it takes away my image persistance problem. I have put the pure white image .jpg in it's own folder that "My Pictures Slideshow" uses all by itself so that it does not switch to any other picture. However, since it is set to change every 3 minutes, I see a black flash on the screen and it gets reloaded during that time with the same .jpg. I want this step to be removed from the process.

So can I either:

1. Change XP's in-built setting so that it never changes/reloads the image?

or

2. Convert the .jpg to a .scr file that I can use as a normal screensaver without having to go the "My Pictures Slideshow" route.

Please advise.

Change your background to the file remove all desktop icons hide your task bar and turn off the screen saver.
