When it comes to forums, there are a few software packages you can purchase to put up forums quickly and easily on any website.
My question: Is there an equivalent software package available that allows users to set up their own web pages? This would be for a website that merely allows users to present a static webpage--no multimedia required, no ability to add "friends" etc. This would NOT be a networking site.
I would be happy with something that would allow the user to choose from one of a limited number of templates and then allow them to fill that in. No flash, no fancy stuff required--only text, pictures and links would be enough. Some customizability by the user would be great, but if that's limited, that's OK.
Obviously, something like what is available on MySpace would be great, but even a simpler functionality along the same lines would be fine.
