Is there a way to limit an Amazon.com search to Amazon.com items?

put 'amazon' into the search.

Their search isn't perfect. Sometimes items that you saw before, you'll never find by searching again unless you have the url for it.

As far as I can tell, there's no way to find out unless you actually click on the product description.

Yeah, you'd think I would've tried that... not flawless, but it seems to work pretty well. Thanks.

I actually stopped working there a little while back. There is no way to limit the search result where Amazon is the seller.

Yes there is.

After you perform the search there is an option on the left hand side that says "Limit the search to the following sellers"

One of the options is 'Amazon.com'

EDIT: That isn't exactly what it says and I am too lazy to actually look it up.

I suddenly remembered this thread today for some reason and decided to figure it out. Took about 30 seconds.

Append this to the end of any search URL to get only items sold by Amazon.

That lets you limit which categories you search.

I have Amazon Prime, so at least I can tell if an item is available for amazon prime. That covers most Amazon.com stuff.

I'll give that a try next time... was surprised to see my thread back up. Binister's method works when Amazon gives you that option, but it often doesn't for some reason.

Yeah and let us know. I've tried it for several things in different categories and it works great....actually fairly useful.

Not perfect I'm afraid, but it works well enough.
