Here's the thing. It was in a friends computer. I went over to check it out. I checked all connections, all cards, cpu everything I could think of. And it acted like it wasn't even plugged in. I was just wanting to know if there is a way of testing the power supply without it being connected to a motherboard?
On an AT case, the PS is already hooked up to the power switch. So in your friends computer, unhook all the power connections (mobo, fans, CD-Roms, everything), hook-up one case fan and hit the main power switch to see if the fan starts.
Wow this is weird. It has the same connectors as an AT PS, but it doesnt have a hard switch. It has an extra power connetor like a small floppy but it only has 3 wires. Damn proprietory crap. Anyone know about these, it says it is Tiger Power(AI-2200). It came out of an HP or Compaq or something like that. And if it is the power supply how would I get another one?
It must be one of them relay operated AT PSU. Unplu the unit and unmount the PSU. Opened it up and check for continuity of the wires with the switch and the relay.
