I stated plenty of times 86-93 stangs get my respect.

Nice ride man..
I'm just not down with the newer stangs or anything else fords put out

I know...I was just picking on your comment about no car guys being here..

No offense of course!

Most people on this board hate my car because it doesn't have uber new styling with heated steering wheel and computerized supsension...

Well.
They are ghey.
I like the looks of the foxbody better personally.. but prob because I'm much more attracted to that style as a platform.. not just as a "cool car".

Regal T-types aren't the swiftest looking for those interested in a car that looks like a jellybean (like they all do these days).. but they rock the socks off the new stuff (as does yours).

I am nice and friendly and you know that, but my car isn't slow in the slightest.

Just wondering, thought I heard some hostility in there. I kno it aint slow. But the lowered scout sure aint slow either. Have yet to take it to the track, but just cruisin round, nothing has come close to touching it  . I let the GF try to drive it, she was used to putting her foot into it in her ford explorer. Haha we drove sideways for 50 yards, and were followed by a tremendous white cload of toxicity.

I don't doubt it. I'd like to see what old housecat drives since he is the one talking sh!t.

Not to interrupt all the arguing here...but here's my take on the 4.6's stangs compared to the 5.0's.

The 5.0's are much easier and cheaper to modify. Partially due to the complexity of the 4.6 compared to the 5.0, and also due to the new OBDII ECU that makes it harder to just bolt on mods. The 5.0 is a more "torque-ey" motor, and the 4.6 is more rev happy. Most 302's only make power up to 5K-6K RPM, and the 4.6's can go up to the 7K range.

As for body styles..the fox body, aka 87-93, is a lighter car than the '94 and up stangs, but the brakes are awfu lstock and the suspension is just barely adequte for anything other than straight line performance. The 4.6's in the '96 and up stangs come with much better brakes and suspension stock, and the interior and body is improved as well.

Both motors can be made fast, very fast. It's all about how much money you have and hhow fast you want to go.

One more thing, trust me on this, Mill's 4.6 is nothing like most other 4.6's out there...

Why dont you actually read the thread. My daily driver is in here somewhere.. you are just going to have to get off your a$$ and do something to find out.

I'm sure its not as "uber" as you think your ride is.. and thats fine.. I own multiple cars. But I love my daily driver. Its nice, gets great mileage and runs hard. And its older so I dont feel bad letting the wife take it to get groceries and getting all kinds of door dings/scratches..
and it was easy and cheap to do..

Quoted for truth.

And maybe Mills is god's gift to 4.6L stangs and he dumped enough cash into one to make it good.. great.. but they still suck as a platform.

I never said they couldnt be made to run.. anything can these days.. even riceburners.

There are duramax diesel pickups that outrun my n20 powered ride with EASE.

What his choice shows though, is poor preference for a so-called "car guy"..
sounds like more money than brains to me.

my question is, does he do his own motorwork?
Or do you PAY someone and attempt to act l33t?
Cuz we have Mills bragging about his cash here, and this is probably the case.

Take a look here and here. Any car guy could appreciate that.. if one knew what they were looking at.. but most call from the old school call it a "rat", with a Vortec Mondo XXX.

You may have a great 4.6L stang.. but this is the most extreme a daily driver could get... and it IS driven daily! And I dont mean to burst your bubble, but from what you told me it would prob beat your stang.

They don't suck as a platform. Why don't you tell Brian Bradford(stock 4.6 block with supercharger and mods) than ran a 10.51 than 4.6's suck? It has nothing to do with me not being a car guy - I much prefer a Mustang to a GM, that's just my personal preference. The LS1 is a great engine, but not the end all of performance. The 4.6 IS a great platform, and yes I did pay someone to do my work. I neither have the time nor ability to do that, yet I did install my own transmission and have done other work on it. I wasn't about to build and engine and do other things however. I don't have the tools, nor did I have the time or ability. Does that make me into not being a car guy? No, it does not. Secondly, you are saying I don't have brains, yet you've yet to expound on what marvelous creations you've created, nor have you shown much knowledge either. I much prefer the body style of the 99+ SN-95 cars to the 5.0, but that is just a personal preference. If I really wanted a fast car I could have bought a 5.8 and supercharged it, but I wanted to do something more rare. Not many 4.6 2v's compared to mine - I don't want to be a clone of everyone else out there like you apparently want to. The name, by the way, is Mill, but I see your ability to read is rather milquetoast. For that - I will feel sorry for you. Has nothing to do with "making it run" my car ran 13's with just flowmasters when I got it, which I dare say was better than the LT1, and comparable to the 5.0's with just exhaut. Anyway, I care nothing about being "elite" or whatnot, and I'm not about to waste time on searching for your car. You are the "noob" here, so perhaps you should back your smack talk up. Seriously, gather some decent writing skills, and swallow your ego and post what you have... otherwise you are just another smack talker bragging about what you *could* have.

Continue to believe what you want, but you obviously have a sheer hatred for 4.6s no doubt due to your own ignorance and rather small genitalia. I don't care if you have a modded GM car or not, my point was that your blithering idiocy regarding the 4.6 is typical fanboism brought on about pure ignorance and redneck genetics. You prob dont even know what a vortec mondo xxx is!

Anyway I appear to have touched a sore spot on old MILL.

I'm sorry man.. but you may have a lot of money (as do I) but dumping alot of cash on a lamborghini or ferrari does not make you a car guy.. nor does what you did garner respect from most real car enthusiasts.

I can afford a lamborghini. I have friends with lamborghinis.
They dont impress me. And neither does anything else bought like that.

Believe me, a car built with your own sweat and blood brings a lot more satisfaction, like "insano" with his mustang.
That gets total props to him.
I grew up without money, and in a "car family".. I still do all my own car work by myself as I did growing up.

You learn the ins and outs of all the popular cars like mustangs and camaros when you work on them yourself.. but trust me when I say its better and easier to work with, and whats better built coming from the factory.

rofl, ok i'll go back to enjoying my "trailer park" LOL!!

my "redneck genetics" must be why i can actually do my own work on my cars.. and why i choose to stay away from 4.6L stangs... amazing.

for some of us, its called a hobby.. not just a rich boys toy.

Not only does the sound depend on the car it has a lot to do with the exhaust setup. As far as a fox body mustang and eariler years i like the full bassani from headers out, dr gas with flows, or off road h with flows. For sn95 and on i like the bassani x with the borlas especially with 289's because it doesnt drone on high rpms like flows or bassanis. The magana flow race bullets (i forgot what they where called) sound awesome also. For chevys and ponties, there is nothing like a nice setup of 1,2 chamber flows because it just gives that mean gargle on idle and roars on wot. So if you like loud and mean on idle and wot the bassani with an xpipe, dr. gas with flows, or Hpipe with flows. If you like a mello tone that screams and opens up during wot nothing beats borlas with a bassani x-pipe.

I'm leaning toward the Bassani SS off road X and the magnaflow cat back ATM. The Borla cat back is $565+shipping...the Magnaflow is all SS too, and can be had for $420...

Thats a pretty sweat setup but a lil overkill for daily driving. Whats your dynos and timeslips. Car,year, dyno number? I'm not too familar with chevys (stang guy) but damn looks like your packing at least 350 or 396. Your insane if thats a 454 used for daily driving but from the pics it looks like you got plenty of room in your engine bay. But i always enjoy a clean and painted engine bay, nice work

I know the Vortech is spelled Vortech and not vortec, asshat - something you don't seem to realize for a "car" guy.

Anyway I appear to have touched a sore spot on old MILL.

Hey! You got the name right, you must have gotten the police to leave and sobered up enough after beating your wife.

I'm sorry man.. but you may have a lot of money (as do I) but dumping alot of cash on a lamborghini or ferrari does not make you a car guy.. nor does what you did garner respect from most real car enthusiasts.

I care nothing about how much money that you have, nor do I care about what you *think* is repect, as I've gotten plenty, and money is simply an object - as is a car.

I can afford a lamborghini. I have friends with lamborghinis.
They dont impress me. And neither does anything else bought like that.

Sure you do, that's why you drive a GM. I mean, that's exactly why everyone buys GM over Supercars...

Believe me, a car built with your own sweat and blood brings a lot more satisfaction, like "insano" with his mustang.
That gets total props to him.

I just explained to you that I have done work on my own car, but didn't have the tools or experience to do everything. If that makes me an asshole, then that's fine, but I still think you are a dumb redneck. You speak of satisfaction as if people are the same. I'm satisfied with what I did, and I don't really care about your opinion.

I grew up without money, and in a "car family".. I still do all my own car work by myself as I did growing up.

Thanks for the life story, but again I don't care about your money, nor do I care about your life - I responded to your scatological ramblings concerning the 4.6 - obviously due to your cranial rectal inversion.

You learn the ins and outs of all the popular cars like mustangs and camaros when you work on them yourself.. but trust me when I say its better and easier to work with, and whats better built coming from the factory.

You don't get it do you? I did do a lot of work on my car - the shocks, eibach springs, dropped the tranny and installed a new one, etc, but that doesn't mean I had the time nor the means to build a fvcking SHM crate motor.

rofl, ok i'll go back to enjoying my "trailer park" LOL!!

As you wish, and tell your wife Peggy Sue that the rent is 10 days late, and that Betty Crocker coupons or welfare checks don't suffice as payment.

my "redneck genetics" must be why i can actually do my own work on my cars.. and why i choose to stay away from 4.6L stangs... amazing.

That and your ignorance are overwhelming evidence of your inate ability to fellate anything GM and anything larger than a 4.6. Which is fine, because I'm sure your mullet interferes with you working on the cramped space of a car that doesn't look like a freaking boat(i.e. F-Body), so perhaps if you got a haircut or even borrowed a brain with an IQ above 60 you'd be able to stop being such a myopic whore.

for some of us, its called a hobby.. not just a rich boys toy.

Who said I was rich or that my car was a toy?

i bet you use an alienware too? or maybe a dell???!!!
or can you handle that PSU installation? rofl

I've worked in IT for 5 years, and I'm an Admin at a business with over 100 client PCs and 8 servers, I don't think I'd have a problem installing a new power supply or building my own machine, as I do that literally all the time considering the sorry state of our current Client PCs. Perhaps if you searched the archives you'd see that I've built plenty of machines. Actually, I am on a Dell, I'm using my lappy to write this message, I suppose you build your own laptops, right?

OMG, you built a rig and bragged about it in your sig. OMFG, I overclocked my P90 to 120 when I was 14, I'm a badass

I bet my 4.6 could take any vehicle you've ever driven.

without nitrous or supercharge/blower??

not too likely for stuff i have owned in the past;but, yeah I am sure your
4.6 is faster than my 273 in my 1964 Valiant.
I had a few years ago a 1972 Monte Carlo wth a 454 in it,took it to the local dragstrip.
I ran 14.0's on street tires,with 2.0-2.5 60ft times.
I didn't have a helmet with me or I would have borrowed some slicks.
I bet that car would have run 12's easy with slicks and a little tuning,{like MSD ignition}

I bet my 4.6 could take any vehicle you've ever driven.

Doubt it.

Ever heard of the words Buick Grand National?

See one of those run up on you, its more fearsome than meeting a old foxbody stang (and esp the 4.6L  )... you see a turbo regal still running the streets.. if its heavily modded like this one there arent many 4.6L era rustangs that hold their own.

Turbo regals are much better set ups than 4.6L stangs. You'd better have alot of major work done to a 4.6L stang to match these beasts.

Your well aware that the 4.6L put down more power than the 5.0 right (stock)? I'm not knocking the 5.0, its a great motor....just old technology. My 4.6L came with 300hp right off the line and the exhaust sounds better than any other stock mustang ever produced (Cobra excluded). BTW, My exhaust is also stock.

My Thunderbird SC would give a Grand National a good run.
