American cars can corner, just not as well as the europeans. The focus on european cars has never been brute force. It usually was never about pushing as much HP as possible. But rather, they like to focus on the Power to weight ratio. How many HP's they can crunch per liter. Just like AMD and Pentium M processors. It's not the L2 cache that makes it amazingly fast, but it's the instructions per clock.
Different culture obviously... those European cars you mention aren't exactly around the same price as a Viper or a Z06. If you want to bring up your FQ 400... that's a specialty vehicle... if you want to go that way you might as well bring along a Dodge Viper ACR. I don't even know why I'm defending domestics here since I'm not a domestic fanboy. I hope you don't mean power/weight = HP/liter... because that's how I read that.
i think he was referring to the fact that European sports cars focus on hp/weight ratio. when he obviously has never looked at the Z06 6.26lbs/HP and ill give you the enzo at 4.57 lbs/Hp
thats a difference, but its also a $600,000 difference if you can find an enzo at MSRP.
