Take a look here and here. Any car guy could appreciate that.. if one knew what they were looking at.. but most call from the old school call it a "rat", with a Vortec Mondo XXX.
You may have a great 4.6L stang.. but this is the most extreme a daily driver could get... and it IS driven daily! And I dont mean to burst your bubble, but from what you told me it would prob beat your stang.
Thats a pretty sweat setup but a lil overkill for daily driving. Whats your dynos and timeslips. Car,year, dyno number? I'm not too familar with chevys (stang guy) but damn looks like your packing at least 350 or 396. Your insane if thats a 454 used for daily driving but from the pics it looks like you got plenty of room in your engine bay. But i always enjoy a clean and painted engine bay, nice work
Its a 396 big block@ 427. FYI, 396/427/454 are all the same block.
aluminum heads of course, the intercooled mondoXXX blower running 15lbs of boost. 9 to 1 compression. control the fuel and ignition from a laptop in the car. SFI
it hasnt been ran on the strip (it was recently finished) and hasnt been dyno'd. but it takes a max of 20lbs of boost.. regularly runs 10lbs everyday.
its a '66 chevelle ss. estimated rear wheel horsepower is about 1000HP.. but its built to handle that much regularly (ford 9in. rearend ect.).
its a rednecks car.. only smart guys spend 60grand on a car that is barely worth a fraction of that now and never was worth 60grand.
this car will blow away a 4.6L with 250shot N20, took time to build and a fraction of the cost.
I'd NEVER brag about being dumb enough to spend 60Gs on a car that just simply isnt that great, esp for that price.
but there are plenty of people like that out there... the rest of us (people that have money AND motivation) do it ourselves and gain satisfaction at the same time.
I guess Dell and Alienware have to cater to SOMEONE.. we now know the types!
ok here goes.
i would prefer to much rather work on my own car and d everything to it myself. however.
If i lived in a non rural neighborhood, and i did not have my own garage, or equipment i sure as hell am gunna pay someone to do what i would do myself given the time, and place to do it.
There are reasons companies make money. not everyone lives in Bumfvckville no where and has land the size or small neighborhoods. on which they can put a nice 30x30 pull barn with lift and all.
so thats why you take it elsewhere. and IIRC, this is exactly what mill has. is a small town house.
now both of you just STFU PLEASE before i trout slap housecat, and cockslap mill (you know youd like it mill)
MIKE
Yeah, I used to rent a house before I bought one. Now I have the space to do things, but I don't care about fast cars, hence the reason I'm sort of trying to sell my Mustang. I did, however, manage to drop the tranny at that house. Wasn't really supposed to do car work due to the rental agreement, but oops.
